Purpose
What is a chamber of commerce?
A chamber of commerce is an association of businesses and individuals who come together to promote business. It's that simple. The chamber is a place to talk about vital issues. It's a place to take action. It's a place to meet people and make new clients (and maybe even some new friends). It's a place to make a difference in our community.
How is Snyder Chamber of Commerce different?
It's really all about a better business climate. It's also all about more than business. This means that we take our role as community leaders very seriously while not taking ourselves too seriously. We are here to create a great place to live, work and grow. We promote a better quality of life for ourselves and our children. In short, we work hard, but we have fun doing it. Our members take active roles in the issues and opportunities that West Texas faces. We leap over hurdles and walk across fire for a stronger and better community. And when it's all said and done, we enjoy the community that we've helped to create.

July 3-4 4th of July Celebration @ Towle Memorial Park. Lots of food & craft vendors, carnival, entertainment, 3 on 3 basketball tournament, volleyball tournament, washer pitching tournament, and lots more. Enjoy the fireworks on Saturday night! July 16-18 Scurry County Rodeo @ 8 pm @ the Rodeo Grounds on Gary Brewer. Entry date is July 12 from 8:00 am - 2:00 pm. Call (806)276-5672 & ask for Linda McConnell to enter. Entry fee is $100 - team roping may enter twice. Dance on Friday & Saturday - featuring Jody Nix & The Texas Cowboys.
